Jesus prophecies – the chances are 1 : 1 ,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

The accuracy of the Bible. Against likely probability! This stuff is crazy.

Dr. Peter Stoner of, former chairman of the departments of mathematics, astronomy and engineering at Pasadena College (Callifornia), worked with 600 students for several years apply probability tests (applied maths) to the prophecies of the Messaiah’s coming (just about the coming there are 300 there are way more than that ABOUT Jesus, these are just about His coming).

They found that just using 8 from the hundreds available like the ones above, the chances of all of them being fulfilled in the life of one man is the chances are 1 : 1 ,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

Does anyone even know the name of that number? A gazillion? A jaquillion. Maybe a yibi-zillion.
By the way we don’t have computers that can handle attempting to test all 300 simoultaneously with all the variables that go into a human life etc. They would have needed super computers for that. Those things are very expensive.

Conclusion 1: Jesus doesn’t play. When the Bible says in Amos 3:7Amos 3:7

that doesn’t do anything significant in human history before telling us way in advance to prepare us and reassure us its the truth. He is the beginning and ending. Imagine planning you’re own death. Planning a crucifixion for Yourself. You must be insane. God’s love is insane. Utterly totally omnilly MAD. And He’s MAD about us!

Conclusion 2: Don’t play with Jesus. When He’s says something guan happun, den dat something guan happun (Ok Dawn can say that better, but a little humour helps yeah?)

Conclusion 3: Jesus in in control. And I quote “I KNOW the plans I have for you, they are plans of good not of harm” Jeremiah.

Final conclusion: Why are you “worried” about you’re salvation when you’re dealing with a God capable of planning His own horrendous sacrifice to prove to a stubborn cold-hearted people, who have dumped Him so many times even He’s almost lost count though He’s the omni-potent mathmetician, to prove that He loves you and He’s got your future in His hands? Worry about how you can make Him smile! Not about if you’ll make it. You worry about making Him smile and He’ll worry about whether you make it to Heaven. And isnt it amazing,…that He does worry. He’s God and HE worries over you like a mother hen with her chicks. Can we be and raise up a generation of Christians who can let go of this worry issue? Its holding you back. It stresses you out so much that it handicaps you from being of any use. You’re so focused on being sorry for your sins that you forget to hide in Him so He can conquer them. You’re so worried about making it, you don’t feel like telling someone else how to make it. In fact you might not even know how to explain to someone else, who doesn’t believe how to make yeah? I’m sorry if I’m speaking a little straight today. But we need to confront our shortcomings and our weaknesses. Lets confess to God that we havent really done much for Him and the building of His kingdom because we’re chained by our worries and daily struggles. Its selfish. You’re like WHAT? Shame. But its the truth. A Christian worries first about others then themselves last. They worry about themselves as a “oh, by the way – how will I survive tomorrow”. Am I lying? What did Jesus tell us. When you go don’t worry about what you’ll say. Hey but you know you’re a sinner so you got nothing to say! Forgetting that you GO ANYWAY because Jesus is not a sinner. Twisted logic? No gospel. The message and saving a life is more important than the little things we stress about all the time. Clothes cars houses. What are these things?  We worry about not being able to speak eloquently. Moses couldn’t string to words together without stammering and he talked with God face to face. What about you? Accountant, team leader, director, manager, salesperson, callcenter agent, mother, father, brother, sister, friend. We worry about “am I good enough, smart enough”?! What so now you’re bring you’re self-esteem issues in the way of letting God use you to save a life. Dying right in front of you your co-worker. Going through a divorce and you can’t pray with them for 30 seconds? You’re partner is drinking himself into the ground, and you can’t wake up at night beg and please with God to give him just ONE alcohol free day in the week. Just one. So that every Tuesday God can send him someone with some life-giving Jesusness. Just on Tuesdays. Every week. For the next month. Lol. I am sinning against God. Really. I say I love Him but I can’t lose 10 seconds a day to remember the fact that in South Africa a woman is probably being raped every 20 minutes? Or are we numb? Guys all I’m saying is this. If the Bible is true. Then Jesus is God. If Jesus is God then He is love. If He is love and we are saved because He loved us into loving Him, then we ought to also HAVE love. You see these facebook causes? Pick a cause. PICK SOMETHING in your life. And GET UP and do something for God. If you can’t pray with someone, pray on a piece of paper. I can’t believe I spend my entire day at work without praying for those few cops in this country who do their jobs right. Or the doctors who work in sorry conditions at government hospitals!

Again my apologies for seeming like I’m shouting. But I’m more digusted sometimes with myself, and God just told me about that women thing just now. And it truly struck me. And I discussed with Him. Father! I’m Your son! Man of God. I wake up every single day and this stuff doesn’t even cross my mind. I apologise to You Lord. Please please, make me more like You. Give me compassion. Holy Spirit, you need to do a 911 again. Cause I’m so not serious its not even funny its actually shameful and sad.

So watching this DVD, this the conversation I had with God this morning. Hectic but hey God deals with us differently. God knows His requirements of me are extremely high. Cause I say MAD-things like, Lord lets make a covenant. And He listens. You know when you covenant with God He takes you the next level. But covenants come with responsibility. Its not for everyone. Just for next-level people. When you covenant with God its hectic. He will fly you up to greatest heights. But His expectations also become great. Why? Because He empowers you for it.

Eish… Tight coversation over breakfast huh? I love Him for it. He reminds me of my earthly father. I remember once failing an exam. (I’m ending)… And my dad was stunned. Why? Because Andrew gets A’s. Period. He works hard just because loves to read. That’s just him. I was a normal kid. I’m not saying I didn’t have to be reminded. And I’m not a genius so I had to work at it like anyone else (just much less than most 🙂 hehe). But most times there was an expectation already built into my parents when they got my report cards. B’s got me in serious trouble. So the one time I failed a math test (on purpose) I got a couple of loving hugs and kisses on the forehead (are you kidding, that’s not what happened and I’m not going into it). Sufficing to say, I didn’t repeat that mistake again. Now I love my father. He’s a lovingly harsh man. He’s duty-bound understanding father. A principled dependable expects-the-same-back kind of father. And so, is God. Look at any one  from Moses to Peter. When God gives you a lot He expects a lot. (Come on we all saw spiderman, with great power comes great responsibility). Here’s what I’m saying, I’d rather face the harshe judgement of a loving God and be benched and fined because I’m supposed to be a star-striker rather than never get to play team A at all. And be a team C reserve. All the teams will make it heaven. But I have purposed on my heart to be on team A. With al my sins and mess ups and such. Why because when I team A star striker messes up. Its put in the headlines of newspapers in heaven and specialist angels get dispatched just for me. And the Holy Spirit gets ready to do one on ones with me. Imagine that. The kind of attention you give you’re star striker. Its just logically. Does God have favourites? No. Does God have preferences ? Yes. Why field a sub when you can field a golden boot striker. What does that mean. Lemme try it again. Does God have favourites? No everyone can make it to heaven. Does God have preferences? Yes. Not everyone will “AGREE” to be the kind of king David was. So the ones who say YES Lord, are the ones He uses for His starting line-up. He chose 12 not 12hundred.

One more time. Lets call it a day.

  1. Jesus doesn’t play. He planned His own crucifixion thousands of years ago to prove His love to a sinful people and then He waited for year for millennia. God is OUT of His MADly in love with us mind
  2. Don’t play with Jesus. When He does something big, He tells us in advance in a big way. And He makes the probability of prophecy impossible and then makes it happen so we can say “You are God!”
  3. Prophecy is good for you because it shows Jesus is on control. No widen then and accept Him as your saviour and let Him control where you end up. (Ie. If you’ll make it)
  4. Final point. Worry about other stuff then you’re own stuff. Get up off you’re gluteus maximus and start doing something for God. People are dying. MAD (Make A Difference) for Christ.

I love you all. No ofentse intended. Yibiyibi (yay!) and pray through some if not all the stuff I write. Take it up with God. Really. Love you all. I would sacrifice a lot for you all (family first and you second!). Seriously. If anything I can say will bless you, encourage you or challenge you then I’m on team A. That’s how easy it is to make the cut. Worry about someone else’s eternal destiny and be apart of the reason they make it. (just worrying helps no one) That’s why God gave us the gospel. (Gave, its not ours it His). So that we can practice being in authority and rulership here. Practice being kings and queens. So that we can take part in it. Enjoy it. Experience it. Share it. Pass it on.

Find something. Do something as an offering to God. Love Him. Obey Him. Worship Him. Chase Him. Adore Him. Adorn His head with your spiritual kisses. Kiss the feet of God with you’re spiritual lips. Offer Him your marriage vows. Make it embarassing, kneel down in you’re private time and let Him propose to you and say yes. Joke with Him like you’re best friend. Have DMC (deep meaningful conversation..my sistern your dropped that one) with Him while you wash dishes. Bless the building you walk into when you come into work. Anoint your office when no one is around. Call angels into the premises. Station them by the desks of your colleagues who don’t know God (oh oh what you didn’t know you could do that? Lol! Another time). Speak life into divorces around you at work when you don’t even know the couple you jjust hear gossip in the coffee room. Pray for the wives of your managers who are prime targets for adultery because they’re successful. These women need you’re covering. Pray for the protection of your neighbourhood. Pray for other denominations. The president. Ask God to speak to you in new and wonderful ways so that you can have a unique testimony. Tell Him you don’t want to be like everyone else. That you want to be treated uniquely so that when you share your testimony you can encourage people who are giving up on God when they hear you got special attention. Pray for the partner for your children. Pray for your children before you have children. Guys. Get hectic in your faith. Do something. Give God a special corner of your house to cleanse anoint and occupy! Talk to Him outloud when you’re alone. Get hectic.

Go and be filled with the Holy Spirit. Today, you will be touched by God. Amen.

Shalom
