I Need You Now Lyrics – Smokie Norful

Not a second or another minute
Not an hour of another day
But at this moment with my arms outstretched
I need You to make a way
Lord as You’ve done so many times before
Through a window or an opened door
I stretch my hands to thee
Come rescue me, I need You right away.

I need You now, I need You now
I need You now, I need You now
Not another second or another minute
Not an hour of another day
But, Lord, I need You right away.

If I’ve never needed You before
To show up and restore
All of the faith that I let slip
While I was yet searching the world for more
The truest friend I have indeed
You’re my best friend I know in need
I stretch my hands to thee
Come rescue me, I need You right away.

The agony of being alone
The fear of doing things on my own
The tests and trials that come to make me strong
The feelings of guilt, hurt, shame and defeat
The waves of trials that beat upon me
But to know Lord, in You I’ve got victory.

—————————– END—————

“If I’ve never needed You before
To show up and restore “

—any takers there any one on that line in the song?

… Or how about these below

“The feelings of guilt, hurt, shame and defeat
The waves of trials that beat upon me
But to know Lord, in You I’ve got victory………..”

Sometimes….. Other people say the things you can’t to God. Ur music is also a prayer…when ur in a place where you can’t pray put in the kind of music that picks yu back up.

As for this piece…… Check out how Smokie Norful gives God the responsibility of victory in life’s trials. All he does (Smokie) is make a decision to let go and let God (cliché I know but true) and Jesus makes it real for you. He completes the vision. Wow I can rhyme too Jay. Anyway (there I go again)  basically this song (and its scriptural) is simply saying this…no matter what happens in life as long as God is God to you…then….you win…no matter what…no matter the odds…no matter the obstacle…no matter how long takes…or if it feels like the pain breaks (yoh I’m on a roll)….you win through Him.

That’s Gospel…according to MAD, its also according to Jeremiah (yes there’s gospel in the old T) and its also gospel according to Romans 5. We submit destiny to Him because we believe He’s our Maker. Then He “Makes” a plan for us that involves ending of the story being heaven.

What will you ever do in your life to qualify for God spending His blood on you? 🙂 lol… So why then do we think us making it has anything to do with us.? Victory is yours even when your not feeling it or Him. The end
