WP-Bible plugin]So point one of divine Jealousy is that God-Jealousy doesnt like sharing us(me) with anyone or thing. To gain the right to be divinely selfish, God marries us. He takes responsibility, protects, nurtures, provides, we’re His bride and He our groom. (Ps…next time someone exhibits any jealousy over you in a romantic relationship, please at least let it be in the context of marriage. No commitment, no benefits ok people!….)God marries you and me, sinners. And by surnaming us, like a commoner marrying a King, He elevates us to the status of royalty. We become, in one moment, more than who we were, we become part of a Family, with all legal rights that come with that. Thats how to be divinely jealous (ur hurm…*clearing of throat sounds* smiley-face if there is such)God-jealousy also has no competition, and goes ALL OUT to proove it. Its not just lip service. Its complete sacrifice. Its total dedication. It throw yourself into it neck deep, feet first, no half measures. Absolute ALL or Nothing

Same chapter of Exodus 34….look at what God says to the Israelites before He tells them His name is Jealous

10 And He said: “Before all your people I will do marvels such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people among whom you are shall see the work of the LORD. For it is an awesome thing that I will do with you.

So point two, God-Jealousy totally OVER THE TOP, when its happening to you, EVERYONE will know. It is not secret nor is it half-committed or half-stepping or half-measures. Its FULL ON. Its out there, because His commitment is “all the people amoung you shall see”. (ur hurm *more clearing throat sounds* smiley-face…are you involved with someone who gets jealous but doesnt have the guts to publically show people that you are the MOST important person on earth to them? Dont be in a secretly abusive relationship with someone who has no ‘rights’ over you. They need to put their money where their mouth is rather then get upset everytime someone else shows an interest in you or you in someone. In fact, they cant blame anyone for giving you attention, nobody know’s you’re taken! But with God, He’s very clear to the world around you when He commits to you and you to Him…ok i’ll leave that there. Or are you a jealous person and too cowardly to show that you’re serious? So you get angry quietly, and pick fights or maybe even worse, threaten to leave and teaching your partner/potential partner to be insecure in your relationship…i’ll leave that there)

Here’s an even more hectic question. Do you want God to show the world your special to Him? Do you want Him to publically declare and show and favour you and protect you and lift you up and boast about you in front of everyone about how much He loves you? I’m not talking about salvation. Dont start freaking out. I’m talking about God treating you with abundance?!…how come you want God to give you His ALL and yet you barely give Him anything except maybe a few minutes of each day, if even that. And dont count going to church either, some of us go to church because we dont want people asking where we were if we dont go. Reputation. Not out of love lol.

What man or woman deeply and madly in love like Song of Solomon doesnt boast about it and act like to the whole world? So what, God must go crazy over you while you remain cold-hearted to Him?

Is it possible that as long as its not related to your salvation, maybe God keeps quiet or ignores you, so that maybe you might suffer a little and actually seek His face in earnest? Or maybe God lets your life look easy and like smooth sailing and asks nothing of you. You’re well off, got what you need and more. Arent really struggling in most areas of your life. But at the same feel no calling at all to do something spiritually outrageous? Complacent and compliant. Benchwarmer and passed over by the Holy Spirit. You’ll have a nice life. You’ll make it heaven. But barely and poorly. Check out 1 Cor 3:12-151 Cor 3:12-15

So point three, God-Jealousy is permanent (covenant) and its proactive/makes the 1st move (Behold, I make).God-Jealousy isnt momentary. Its eternal. Its for forever like diamonds (cue James Bond theme music lol). Its not a mood swing, which so many of us are used to. And so we have a twisted view of jealousy, yet God makes it so beautiful. Whats more, is that this verse is AFTER all the miracles God had done for the Israelites AND AFTER their betrayal of Him, in His face! At the foot of the mountain while Moses was up top. God-Jealousy is proactive that way. Sometimes to save us from ourselves, God will do something fantastic and wonderful, to get our attention. Then when He has it, He rekindles our relationship with Him permanently by covenant. In simple words, sometimes, when we’ve fallen and messed up, all dirty and down and depressed, thats when God, doesnt ask us out on a date, but gets down on bended-knee with a diamond ring. In this chapter, the diamond ring, is the second set of stone tablets God made after Moses destroyed the others in anger when he came down the mountain and found the Israelites worshipping the gold calf. (ur hurrmmmmm *clearing throat sounds of the last time smiley* people shouldnt be jealous in their relationships with you, unless their saying to you, that that intense passionate feeling that they have about you is so permanent, that even if you were to be unfaithful, they’d still pull out the diamond ring.)

Do you want God to bless you even if you’ve been messing up? Do you want Him to give you another chance, take another risk with you? And i dont mean about salvation, i’m talking about your dreams and hopes and deepest wishes and desires. That what you want? Well if you want Him to take that big a risk, then be serious before it comes. Or take a leap of faith first, leap first. Bring your two mites, or push through the crowd and touch His hem, or risk being stoned and cry out to Him in your leprosy, climb that tree no matter who’s looking or what they think of you, step out of that boat and think it possible to do the craziest stupidest thing you’ve ever done.  And about Peter and the water. So what Jesus was walking on water. The man knew full well that Jesus was God and he wasnt. What audacity it took to ask Him, “Can i try?! Please?!” wasnt it enough to see Jesus do the most miraculous, science deyfing things all day every day…what gives you the right to ask Jesus if you can drive His lambourghini? Think it through….thats why no one else asked. No one else had the guts. And thats why no one else in human history has repeated that miracle since.

None of these miracles had to do with making it to heaven, that had to do with good life here on earth.
