We’re complicate it God makes it simple – surrender

Last night, as we shared towards the end we reached a conclusion after all our discussions. And I was humbled and reminded that beauty of being taken care of. The beauty of being looked after is in surrender.

We’ve got to get to the point where we’re able to look into ourselves and our lives and literally take everything we have power over into our hands and walk up to God and give it all to Him as an offering. Starting with our apparent wisdom then our knowledge then our faith even our “truth”. We don’t have a monopoly on that last one most definitely. Remember nothing we have comes from us. Not our salvation not even our faith or ability to pray (which we don’t know how to do) even our wisdom. None of it ours. James wrote if a man lacks wisdom let Him pray for it. So why are we constantly caught up (I know I am) in this never ending cycle of forgetting that we can’t take ownership of anything we have. Not even the love we feel for others. None of it is ours. If God is love (do we believe that) then that means love was always His to begin with. When we show it to others, if we want it to be true love, then He needs to fill us up, so we can burn it like a car by showing it to others. Or we need to borrow a little to give to others. Or like a pie, we need to cut a piece to eat.

We came into this world with nothing.
But a spiritual person can leave with something. Having accomllished that one sublime thing. I surrender all.

Below here’s a world changing prayer that I hope one day I can pray from the heart and really believe. Last night once again I left both mourning and encouraged. Because I realised the only that stops a man from greatness is himself. The only that’s different from me and David is surrender. But I confess to God that I’m not at the point yet where I’m willing to lose everything to gain everything. I’m still in a struggle. But I was encouraged cause whenever I recongise my shortcomings and weakness I remember 2 Cor 12, which we also discussed with a friend last night. About Paul. One day I’ll have that conversation with Jesus where He will tell me, for my life and in my context and on a personal level just for me (and you if you want) that “My strength is made perfect in your weakness”. I believe God is powerful and omni this and omni that.

[ God’s Spirit Poured Out ] “ And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; (that’s hectic to me I see images like how they pour a bucket of water over coaches! Lol!, not pouring the way you pour water into a glass but a deluge an engulfing overwhelming cant breathe and you can only catch your breath when its stops and leaves panting and dripping)

[ Free from Indwelling Sin ] There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. (why do we condemn all the time, not just others but even ourselves, we have no right to do that!)

But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. (not a democracy huh?)

So I have hope because it means one day in this daily wrestle against myself or better put of Him wrestling in me, one day, He will win. I struggle just like anyone else but His Spirit will not contend with me forever. One day, God must win.

“Father Your will be done
On earth, in heaven
In my life
In my heart

I give You dominion over me forever and ever Amen.”
